First off, a big thank you goes out to all of our ministry partners who made this trip and all the ministry we are doing possible! Your giving is touching the world for the glory of God! Pray for Israel and for the peace of Jerusalem!
From the 17th-26th, Brian was in Israel and Palestine ministering primarily in the West Bank town of Bethlehem. When most of us think of Palestinians we assume they are all Muslims, but there are Christians in Palestine, and they make up about 1% of the total population in Palestine and Israel.
Brian ministered on Thursday evening and Sunday morning in The House of Bread Church in Bethlehem. Praise God, this small pentecostal church is thriving in a very hard place.
These saints face a daily persecution from all angles as more and more Christians immigrate and seek religious or political asylum in nations with more opportunity. The church in Palestine must be encouraged and supported. They must know that they are not forgotten.
But God is moving! The meetings in Bethlehem were awesome and many were equipped for ministry and received a special touch from the Lord! This church is hungry for God's presence! During the Thursday night meeting one woman was healed from chronic chest pain and one woman's sight was restored who has been losing her sight progessively for years! Praise Jesus!
On Saturday, Brian met with Mahmoud Labadi, the Director General of The Palestinian Legislative Council in the West Bank capital of Ramallah. The focus on the meeting was peace with Israel and freedom for the Christian church in Palestinian areas.
On Monday, Brian travelled to Israel and met with Mordechi Lewy, the Mayor of Jerusalem's Minister on Religious Affairs. Here again we discussed how we might all live in peace in this most complicated of places and times.
Mr. Lewy was surprised to,learn of the number of evangelicals and Pentecostals in the West Bank. I think a strategic relationship was made here as Mr. Lewy and I met for over an hour.
During this trip, foundations were laid for future trips to bring the love and peace of our Lord. God has a remnant in Palestine and Israel and they are desperate to see God move.
Thank you all for your prayers and support that have once again truly made a huge impact for the Kingdom! Next year we can bring additional team members as we have established relationship with many leaders in the area. We also have a guest house at our disposal that sleeps over ten people. So be praying about possibly coming along in the future.
